How is polyimide foam used in the field of rail transit

2024-09-12

D-series rail transit

There are three main ways of heat transfer on urban rail transit vehicles: heat conduction, convection, and radiation. In order to reduce the discomfort caused by vehicle heat transfer to passengers, reduce vehicle energy loss, and improve energy utilization, insulation materials must be laid in appropriate positions inside the vehicle body. Considering the insulation and fire protection requirements of vehicles, insulation materials must have the characteristics of flame retardancy, non toxicity, good insulation and sound absorption performance.

The D series polyimide foam products produced by our company in the rail transit field provide a solution to the heat insulation and noise reduction system with light weight, high flame retardancy, ultra-low smoke generation and fiber free. Especially suitable for damp, high temperature, or restricted use of loose fibers.

D series polyimide foam products in rail transit field can meet the requirements of U S. FRA and FTA (Docket90-A) proposals to ensure a high evacuation rate in case of fire.

D series polyimide foam products in the field of rail transit have the high and low temperature resistance performance (from-260 ℃ to 350 ℃, long-term service temperature 300℃) that all thermal insulation and sound absorption materials on the market can not achieve. They not only have excellent flame retardancy than most thermal insulation and sound absorption materials, but also have cold resistance that other thermal insulation and sound absorption materials do not have. They can be used for cold protection of the whole vehicle.

D series polyimide foam products in the field of rail transit have the lightness that other heat insulation and sound absorption materials can not have, meet the requirements of train lightness, almost have no toxic smell, and ensure the comfort and environmental protection of the carriage.

Compared to other materials, it also has better hydrophobicity, better resilience, no dust, and no slag falling.
